1. Your choices
Use Accept to allow analytics and advertising purposes, Reject to decline both, or Choose preferences to decide separately. Essential storage remains available. You can use the website and submit an enquiry without accepting optional cookies.
You can also reopen these controls using Cookie settings in the footer. We remember the choice on this browser for 180 days. Clearing browser data, using another device or browser, or expiry of the choice can make the banner appear again.
2. Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small values a website stores in your browser and may receive on later requests. Local storage keeps values in your browser until cleared; our code applies expiry checks before using those values. This policy covers both, as well as the tags that load measurement services.
3. Essential storage and security
Cookie choice: we use first-party local storage named bmr_cookie_consent_v1 to remember the purposes you allowed or rejected and when that choice expires. It is used for 180 days and does not itself record your browsing history.
Form security: the protected Contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile when enabled. This processes browser and device signals to help prevent automated submissions. Turnstile normally returns a short-lived verification token. A clearance cookie called cf_clearance can also be used if Cloudflare pre-clearance is enabled; its duration is set in that security configuration. This is a security function, separate from Google analytics and advertising choices.
4. Analytics and visit attribution
Google Analytics 4: we use GA4 to understand visits, page interactions and how people reach the site. With analytics consent, GA4 can use first-party cookies _ga and _ga_<identifier> to distinguish browsers and maintain session information. Google’s default lifetime is two years, subject to shorter browser limits or account settings. This is a cookie lifetime, not a statement about how long every analytics report is kept. See Google’s GA4 cookie information.
Our visit attribution: with analytics consent, first-party local storage named bmr_attribution_v1 records the first and latest non-direct visit sources, campaign labels, referring page path, landing page and dates. It helps connect an enquiry with the visit that led to it. It is valid for 30 days; a new non-direct visit refreshes that period. Referrer query strings and fragments are removed.
Rejecting analytics stops our attribution capture and use, removes its stored record and clears accessible Google Analytics cookies on this site. Expired local-storage records are not used; you can also remove them through your browser settings.
5. Google tags and consent signals
Google Tag Manager loads on every page and manages Google Analytics 4. We use Google Consent Mode v2 with analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising data use and advertising personalisation set to denied before Tag Manager loads. A saved choice is restored where available.
Accept grants all four permissions. Reject keeps them denied. The separate preferences let you allow analytics while denying advertising, or the reverse. Granting an advertising preference permits that purpose for Google tags where configured; it does not subscribe you to email marketing.
Denied consent does not mean no connection to Google. Under this configuration, Google tags can send limited cookieless signals, such as page, timing, browser and consent information, for basic measurement and modelling. Network requests also expose connection information to the recipient. Analytics cookies must remain disabled until analytics consent is granted.
Changing to Reject withdraws optional permissions and clears accessible first-party Google measurement cookies. It does not delete information already received by a provider or remove cookies on other websites. Our Privacy Policy explains data use and your rights. You can also read Google’s explanation of Consent Mode.
6. Browser controls
Your browser can block or clear cookies and site storage. Clearing the preference record makes us ask again; blocking storage may prevent us from remembering your choice between page loads. Browser tracking protection and extensions can further limit requests to third-party providers.
If you accepted analytics on a shared device, change the preference before leaving if you do not want it to apply to the next user of that browser.
7. Questions and changes
For questions about cookies or personal information, use our Contact us page. We will update this policy when the technologies or purposes change; the date above identifies the current version.
