The Business Review Co. is a trading name of Stand Up 8 Holdings Ltd, a company registered in Hong Kong.
1. About these terms
These terms cover this website and the enquiry and introduction service provided by Stand Up 8 Holdings Ltd, trading as The Business Review Co. (“we”, “us” and “our”). They do not replace the terms of any independent specialist you choose to appoint.
Our service is intended for people acting on behalf of a business. Please read these terms before using it. If you have a question, Contact us.
2. What we do
We help businesses explore whether a review of their costs, accounting arrangements or potential recoveries may be worthwhile. We collect initial information, discuss the enquiry and, where appropriate, agree an introduction to an independent specialist with you.
Website information, questionnaires and initial indications are general information. They are not accounting, tax, legal, property, energy or financial advice, a formal eligibility decision, or a recommendation to make a claim. A suitably qualified specialist must assess your circumstances before you act.
We do not guarantee an introduction, eligibility, acceptance by a specialist, a lower fee, a saving, a refund or any other outcome. You remain responsible for your filing, payment and other deadlines.
3. Free enquiries and specialist fees
Submitting an enquiry and our initial review carry no charge or obligation to proceed. Submitting a form does not appoint a specialist or authorise paid work.
A specialist sets their own scope, fees and terms, which you should agree with them before work starts. Their agreement is separate from our introduction service. You can decline an introduction or decide not to proceed.
We may receive a referral or introducer fee from a specialist. We explain the relevant arrangement as part of the introduction. See How we are paid.
4. Information you provide
Please provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge, tell us when material details change, and only submit information you are authorised to share. We may need further information before arranging an introduction.
Do not send bank details, passwords, tax records or sensitive personal information through the initial website forms. Advisers should keep initial opportunities anonymous and avoid sharing client information without appropriate authority.
We can decline or stop handling enquiries that are abusive, misleading, unlawful or outside the scope of our service.
5. Independent specialists
Specialist firms operate independently and are responsible for their own advice, services and handling of personal information. Before appointing one, check that their experience, professional status, insurance, proposed work and fees meet your requirements.
We are responsible for our own introduction service. We do not control a specialist’s work or bind them to an agreement on your behalf. Raise concerns about their work with the specialist; you can also tell us about a problem with an introduction.
6. Using the website
You may view, download or print website content for your own business’s information. Content and branding belong to us or our licensors. You must not reproduce them commercially, imply our endorsement, interfere with the site, submit malicious material or attempt unauthorised access.
We aim to keep the site useful and accurate, but content may change and the site may be unavailable from time to time. External links are provided for information; the external provider is responsible for its content and terms.
7. Responsibility and your rights
Please obtain advice suited to your circumstances before making a business decision. An initial indication on this website is not a substitute for that advice.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing here removes rights or remedies that applicable law gives you.
8. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains browser storage, Google tags and your choices. Using the website or submitting an enquiry does not by itself mean you consent to optional cookies or marketing.
9. Questions, complaints and changes
For a question or complaint about these terms or our service, use our Contact us page and explain what happened and the outcome you would like. Please do not include confidential documents in the initial message.
We may update these terms as the website or service changes. The date above identifies this version. Changes apply to future use and do not retrospectively remove rights relating to an existing enquiry or agreement.
